Welcome to Fit by Forty!

Hey there! I’m so glad you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the internet. If you’re here, you’re probably a lot like me—navigating the wild ride of balancing life, work, and family while trying to stay healthy and feel fabulous as we inch closer to the big 4-0. Let’s be honest: it’s not always easy. Between the endless responsibilities, hormonal shifts (thanks, perimenopause!), and the sometimes less-than-stellar motivation (hello, snooze button!), finding time for fitness and self-care can feel like a juggling act. That’s exactly why I started this blog.

So, why am I blogging?

Simple. I’m here to document my journey toward getting fit by forty, sharing the highs, the lows, and everything in between. This isn’t about chasing perfection; it’s about showing up, putting in the work, and celebrating progress—no matter how small. I want to create a space where we can laugh at the missteps (like that time I tried to go beast mode at CrossFit and got humbled real quick), celebrate the victories (like finally mastering that deadlift form), and share tips, tricks, and maybe even a few healthy recipes along the way.

What’s the purpose?

The purpose of this blog is to keep it real. Real struggles, real triumphs, and real conversations about what it means to prioritize health and fitness as we approach this milestone—and as our bodies start to change in ways we didn’t exactly expect. I’m here to be your virtual workout buddy, your cheerleader, and maybe even the occasional voice of reason when those dumbbells are calling your name but Netflix sounds like a much better idea. Whether you’re just getting started on your fitness journey, looking to hit a new goal, or simply need a reminder that you’re not alone in this, I hope this space can be a source of inspiration and community.

Remember, this journey isn’t just about the destination—it’s about embracing the process, finding joy in the progress, and giving yourself grace when life (and hormones) don’t go according to plan. We’re in this together, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve!

Let’s get fit by forty—and have a little fun while we’re at it.

Cheers to health, happiness, and a whole lot of sweat
